How long have you been involved with Achilles Philadelphia? I joined about 1 month after it started in 2012.
How did you find out about Achilles International? My dad heard someone speak about it at a local running club.
When did running become a part of your life? I started running with my dad about four years ago with a ‘Couch To 5K’ program.
What do you gain from running? Friends, fun, fitness.
What is your favorite distance to run? 5K
What is your most significant accomplishment to date? Finishing the Broad Street Run.
Who/what is your biggest inspiration? My Philly Achillies teammates.
What quality best describes your personality? Happy
What do you do for fun or a hobby in your spare time? It’s hard to pick one but I really like to ride my bike.
What is your disability/impairment? Autism
What strength do you bring to the Achilles Philly chapter? I like to pump everybody up with a fist bump when they walk in the door on Saturday mornings.
What motivates you to keep coming back to the chapter workouts? It combines some of Andrew’s favorite things: friends, running, train rides to and from the workout, stopping for treats after.
If you were speaking to a prospective volunteer or athlete and could only convey one thing about Achilles Philadelphia what would it be? Achilles is inspirational! It’s the best part of my week.
