Bookin’ for Lookin’
This annual race, organized by Philly Achilles own Mark McCowan, is celebrating its 5th year!!
Their mission is to raise awareness in our community about individuals who deal with various eye conditions. They strive to provide funds to support non-profit organizations conducting vision research, education or patient care. Through their efforts to help these organizations, they serve to help improve the quality of life for people with visual impairments. It is their vision within the near future that our collaborative efforts will help make a difference by restoring sight in all people.
The purpose of the healthy and fitness related event is to raise awareness and raise money for two fantastic organizations: The Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (BCABVI) and the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB). Contributions will continue to help finance much-needed research and researchers seeking to find a cure for blindness and sight restoration. In addition, this event promotes a healthy, friendly atmosphere among all the participants, sponsors, volunteers, and community in support of our cause.
